ELS combines exceptional commercial experience with a mature and comprehensive understanding of the public sector. We operate differently to many other firms as making profit for a partnership or company is not our only driver. This allows us to be affordable and deliver cost savings to our clients.
As well as delivering cost savings to our clients our service does make a small income each year which is reinvested back into Essex County Council helping to support our communities. Changes to the way local authorities are funded has fed into our plan to grow our business to allow us to support the Council in new ways.
All employees are entitled to take up to 2 days paid leave each year for volunteering. This practice not only gives back to the community but also helps to inspire and motivate our workforce.
In ELS we have a committed charity team who arrange regular fundraising events throughout the year. These range from bake sales to sweepstakes and Easter egg hunts and Christmas collections.
We are committed to help studying law students at Anglia Ruskin University and the University of Essex. Our employees are supported to act as mentors to law students and we offer internships and work experience opportunities.
